An unknown author has given us a wonderful resource of 91 differnet ways to respond to literature.  Although there are 91 different ways listed on this website do not forget that the content of of your presentation is what is going to count.  So make sure you pick a means of responding to literature that can facilitate a meaningful analysis. 

 

This SlideShare presentation gives a nice overview of what literary analysis is.  The author uses the metaphor of an apple to describe the complexities and layers that go into good literary analysis.

 

 

 

The Online Writing Lab at Purdue University offers lots of great free help on writing.  This SlideShare presentation teaches not only what a literature analysis is but the elements of a good literature analysis.  This presentation will help you understand what needs to be included in your literary response.

 

 

 

Accomplished college english professor Dr. Davis, has created a blog on teaching college level english classes.  This page on his blog has information on literary analysis.  Dr. Davis gives good definitions on the various approaches to literary analysis and common subjects for literary analysis.  Check out this page to help you decide what literary element to build your analysis around.

 

The Internet Public Library (IPL) has devoted a lot of megabytes to help students create literary analysis.  They offer lots of free help on how to find other literary analysis on the same Author or Topic.  They also help you access this information by helping you limit your search based on the time period the piece of literature was published.

 

This site, provided by the McGraw-Hill textbook company gives an comprehensive glossary of literary terms.  You may need this when you are trying to understand an element of literature.  

 

Be sure to look at this site because it contains all the elements of literature.  You need to make sure that you work some of these into your digital story.  Please e-mail me if you need help understanding them or utilizing them.
